Energy, Private Equity Quantitative Analyst/Valuations-Vice President–London-COMPETITIVE SALARY STRUCTURE

The Business Modelling Group is a national team of over 100 people, predominantly based at their head offices in London. In recent years the Group has grown significantly and has ambitious plans to sustain this level of growth over the coming years, providing fantastic development opportunities for their staff. This Modelling Group has developed an international reputation within the wider firm.
Assignments cover a wide range of countries and industry sectors. This Valuation & Business Modelling team is looking to expand on its existing Quantitative Analysis business to capture exciting opportunities, particularly within the Energy, Private Equity and Hedge Fund industry sectors.
Responsibilities of the Energy, Private Equity Quantitative Analyst role: -Provide or contribute to quantitative analysis solutions for clients, -Prepare and present clear reports to support these analyses and solutions, -Build and review complex quantitative models under supervision, -Demonstrate a strong understanding of Excel and other suitable solution platforms, -Manage own time to budgets and communicate progress against plan to assignment manager, -Apply or refer to a basic range of Ernst &Young services and products in meeting clients' needs, -Proactively manages own career path and development.
Requirements of the Energy, Private Equity Quantitative Analyst role: -MSc or PhD in financial mathematics, or a highly numerate subject, -Good up to date understanding of Financial Mathematics, in particular derivative pricing and modelling, -Desirable would be some experience of implementing these skills in an investment appraisal or transactions environment, or some experience of implementing quantitative analysis and risk management techniques in a practical setting, gained in financial services, consultancy or in a relevant role in industry, -Highly IT literate, with expert knowledge of Excel and VBA, and/or other programming tools such as Matlab, C++, SAS or R.

As no two projects are the same, the work requires a high level of adaptability, flexibility and innovation, -They are looking for skilled post-graduates or equivalent professionals with experience in Financial Engineering to grow our team to the next level, -Has logical and rational approach to complex problem solving, -Deals confidently with partners and client staff and builds credibility for the firm, -Delivers to demanding deadlines maintaining the discipline and quality of output.
