The best performing investment bank in the world in 2009 and 2010 thus far is looking for a senior Market Risk Manager to manage the rates portfolio across its Japanese business lines.

Responsibilities:
-Application and development of risk management techniques to explore risk on Tokyo Rates & FX trading books,
-Produce, analyze and monitor risk utilization and revenue performance,
-Provide clear briefings of current events/issues to line management and to wider audience of MRM colleagues,
-Detailed review of notable transactions,
-Validate and resolve limit excess issues working closely with front office,
-Perform ad-hoc pieces of analysis around the business in order to assist management decision making,
-Guide our partners in Risk Reporting and Middle Office groups in order to make risks accurate & transparent. Shape risk infrastructure development,
-Build strong relationships with the business. Seek to add value, particularly around business development.

Ideal Candidate:
-Experience: 5+ years industry experience gained in Market Risk or comparable function: (Trading/Structuring/Valuation/etc.),
-Good technical skills (Risk methodology/Products/Systems) – VB and knowledge of MS Excel/Access desirable,
-Good working knowledge of Interest Rate cash & derivative products,
-Broad interest in markets essential. Knowledge of Japan market preferable,
-Candidate must be determined and shown to be self-starter. Ability to work independently vital,
-Strong analytical skills required,
-Lateral thinker, tenacious, commitment to getting things done and detail focused,
-Proactive and able to work independently. Ability to manage own workload,
