VP Market Risk Developer with FX and IR exposure needed for tier 1 investment bank-London-Base Salary £65,000 + bonus & additional benefits
The Group: Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) is the principal business in the region, which includes Investment banking, global cash management, traded market products (including money market and derivatives trading), trade finance, leasing and financial advisory services. Global Markets Risk Management is based in the European Headquarters in London; covering Interest Rates, Equities, Structured Credit Products, FX, Commodities, High Yield, High Grade, ECP and Distressed Debt.
The market risk developer will have the following responsibilities in this position: The successful candidate will join the Rates and currencies risk management team as a Vice President. The role of the candidate will be to manage the ongoing front to back development of the current rates and currencies risk infrastructure globally including. -Delivery of new risk information from front office systems, -Enhancements to the VaR methodology, -Development of new reporting, -Management of operational risk.
Co-ordination with regulatory teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are planned for and met.
The successful candidate is likely to have the following background and skill set: -Degree educated (or equivalent) in a quantitative subject, -Good rates product knowledge, sound understanding of regulatory requirements and latest market best practice for VaR methodology and stress testing, -Thorough knowledge of vanilla financial Instruments and an appreciation of VaR techniques for both linear and non-linear portfolios, -Experience of managing front to back development in risk capture/infrastructure/reporting and modelling, -Experience of Trading/Market Risk/Credit Risk/Middle Office/Finance would be a pre-requisite, -Quantitative background and VBA/Access skills advantageous.
