Mission
The Financial Reporting Senior Fund Accountant is a member of the Reporting Team within Luxembourg Investment Administration. The team is responsible for producing all financial and regulatory reports including audited financial statements for the Luxembourg-domiciled funds. The team will participate in giving strategic and technical input for projects (e.g. IFRS and Regulatory/ Tax regime changes in various European countries).
Your mission:
-Yearly audits and financial reporting for the company's various funds, other funds and various other feeder and fund of funds. Their planning, co-ordination, and accurate submission, within specified deadlines,
-Organise and review the German Tax Certification process,
-Regulatory reporting on a monthly/quarterly/semi annual and annual basis (with European and non European entities), provide assistance in the reporting preparation, review and coordination,
-Assist in the Long Form Reporting/Controls Report process,
-Provide expertise at a technical level for IFRS, Regulatory/Tax Reporting changes to ensure compliance with the regulatory environment,
-Develop and implement new procedures,
-Liaise with Senior Management as well as colleagues in all areas of Investment Administration (especially Statutory Fund Reporting) as well as Legal, Compliance, Tax and Fund Treasury,
-Manage and co-ordinate the external audit relationship: e.g. financial statements, fund launch/closure, compliance breach, Long Form Controls Report.
Profile
-Newly qualified, part qualified or studying for recognized professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent),
-University degree in accounting, finance or economics,
-Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant industry experience gained within an Investment Management company in a fund accounting area or an audit company,
-Relevant Financial and/or Regulatory Reporting experience,
-Good understanding of accounting issues,
-Good Microsoft Excel/Access/Project skills,
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including with Senior Management,
-Good organisational and analytical skills,
-Results oriented/ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines,
-Highly numerate,
-Attention to detail,
-Fluent English (spoken and written), good level of French or German would be an additional benefit.
