Hedge Fund Credit Analyst, VP level-Credit Risk-London-Salary: £60-70,000
Top bank seeks a Hedge Fund Credit Analyst Manager responsible for a range of trading relationships, in particular in the fund management sector.
In managing the business with counterparties, the candidate will be part of the decision-making process in co-ordination with senior management to develop and implement a due diligence/marketing plan. As part of the funds team the candidate will look after a portfolio of 30-40 fund relationships for trading activities, fx swaps etc.
The Role: -Undertakes appropriate due diligence and full analysis of counterparties' financial and industry information for credit proposals, -Actively contributes to the Trading unit being viewed as a trusted centre of expertise for all issues relating to the assigned sectors; regularly liaises with departments such as Risk Management to build and maintain this trust, -Maintains a thorough understanding of the Bank's credit policies and procedures and their application to each transaction/proposal, -Pursues sales opportunities for additional or new products to targets and clients, reviewing and addressing the risk aspects through the appropriate internal and external channels, -Formulates, develops and implements strategic marketing and sales plans for existing clients and targeted accounts in pre-selected markets, -For all target clients, acts as the principal contact point between the Bank and the client and co-ordinates efforts with other officers of the Bank globally to ensure that the full resources of the Group are applied, -High quality of service must be emphasised and all appropriate steps taken to ensure that client expectations are met, -Ensures that the appropriate steps are taken to update the limit system and CCMS, -Ensures that regular due diligence is undertaken and that financial data for the various counterparties are received at the appropriate times and that limits are adjusted as necessary.
Ideal Candidate: -An action oriented individual who possesses the requisite professional skills to deal with financial and treasury executives/managers of clients and targets, which represent some of the top institutions, as well as with various RBFG staff. Must be a self-starter who operates largely independently and must be a relationship oriented individual with competitive instincts to act decisively in order to achieve the goals of the Group, -Ability to independently manage a client base, -Strong communication, negotiation, management and interpersonal skills, -Must have the confidence of Global Markets senior management and direct reports, as well as other departments, such as Risk Management, -Ability to handle a significant and diverse workload, -Good knowledge of trading products and alternative asset management sector, -Ability and willingness to travel on behalf of the Bank.
