Software Developer (Java Server) - Hong Kong
We are a proprietary trading firm and a member of the Hong Kong exchange specializing in derivatives. Our activities include being a market maker and we are expanding into Korea and Japan.
Our medium term goals include opening of a US office in 2009 and a European office in 2010.
We aggressively use technology to maximize our edge and seek high caliber individuals for our development needs.
We are currently seeking candidates for the post of: Software Developer (Java server)
The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for developing server side applications for our in-house developed trading systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Design and implementation of Server side applications (JAVA),
-Work with client side developers to implement functionality,
-Work with traders to design the application to maximize their productivity,
-Provide Tier 3 supports for client side applications,
-Work with Support and Development to improve procedures and implementation of systems.
Requirements
-Strong grasp of client server integration (socket & multi-threading),
-General Support knowledge.
Other Requirements
-University Degree in Computer Science,
-3+ year of experience implementing Java server side applications,
-Solid understanding of Database design and experience with MySQL,
-Experience with Linux is a plus,
-Good command of spoken and written English,
-Willing to relocate to Hong-Kong (relocation package provided)
Salary range: 25 000-40 000 HKD per month (2.500-4.000 euros per month (net income)
