Trainee Trader - Hong Kong
Eclipse Options is engaged in several aspects of the Derivatives Trading Industry.
Combining our trading experience, technology and risk management, we are expanding into new markets within Asia.
Our medium term goals include opening of a US office in 2009 and a European office in 2010.
As we handle a growing equity portfolio we are looking for a Trainee Trader to work alongside the senior equity traders.
Ongoing learning in a real time hands-on training environment is the best way to get the skills and develop the instinct of a Trader.
Under the guidance of a senior Trader you will learn in details about options theory and trading strategy using our software application.
During the 3 month training, experienced Traders will provide you with structure and feed-back to make you understand the front to back workflow and processes.
You will participate in initiatives to improve service and control in all facets of the Trader role and be proactive and aggressive enough to step up to the challenge.
You will be communicating constantly with our trading team and the IT department.
Responsibilities will include:
As a Junior Trader, you will manage all aspects of your derivatives books, which includes:
-Market making.
-Order executions.
-Perimeter setting.
-Risk management
- Daily P&L analyze, coordination with P&L group on discrepancies.
-Ad Hoc reporting requirements.
-Following market activity; speak to sales, brokers, filter relevant market information back, reconciliation, reporting.
Requirements:
-Graduate degree in Math, Business or Engineering
-High level of numerical ability
-Good command of spoken and written English
-Decisive
-Ability to work under pressure
-Enthusiastic and able to think 'out of the box'
-Willingness to continuously learn and able to show this
-Motivated to work independently
-The ability to grow into a role with a much higher level of responsibility.
-Willing to relocate to Hong-Kong (relocation package provided)
-40 000 HKD per month plus discretionary bonus -around 4.000 euros/per month (net income).
